Barbara is an owner and financial consultant with Trombley Associates. She creates financial plans and gives investment advice to new clients as well as servicing existing clients. Barbara’s financial and educational background is a valuable asset to our firm.
Barbara graduated from Duke University in 1989 and joined Price Waterhouse in New York as an auditor. She received her MBA in both accounting and finance from New York University. She is an active CPA and holds the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 63 (State Blue Sky Laws), and Series 65 (Investment Adviser Representative) through LPL Financial and is a licensed insurance representative in life and annuities. She holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation and is also a member of the Financial Services Institute.
Barbara and her husband Mike have three children, Tory, Kyle and Alexandra. Barbara is co-President of the Minnechaug Scholarship Foundation which is the primary source of local scholarships for seniors at Minnechaug Regional High School. She also volunteers for Junior Achievement by teaching their JA For A Day course at the local middle school and she recently began a partnership with Open Pantry to teach financial literacy to teen moms. Barbara is also the western-Massachusetts coordinator of alumni interviews for Duke University.
